I would like you to think about your game and answer the following question: Can your game be both a Civics and Stem Game?
Our game is mainly focused on technology. we are not using any form of civics.
In order for you to make an informed decision and answer the above question, I have added links to the definition of Civis (Civics Definition) and Stem (Stem Definition). In addition, please list five game ideas that could be both Civics and Stem Games.
1. Lawcraft
2. Argument wars
3. Ministry of War
4. Supreme Decision.
5. World of Warcraft

I love working on flash because it's a serious challenge that will help somewhere in the future. Plus, I know how hard it is to make a new game. :)

Explore your Knowledge Community and find a research link you find helpful from another student's blog. Write a post explaining why this is a useful resource, link back to the blog of the student who originally posted it, and add the link to your blogroll. If you can't find anything of use from your peers' blogrolls, do some research and suggest a new resource that you found on your own.
I couldn't find anything. I am sad.

How are you using visual storytelling through your sequence of scenes to help players learn about your topic?
We are using the technology in our scenes by explaining how the lever lifts the door up.
What are examples of games you played in the Playing to Learn topic that use storytelling to teach a concept well?
Gravitee
How have other narrative games influenced your game?
We wanted our game to be original, se actually Left 4 Dead we just took Bill from them and that was it.

Why would you use folders to organize your scenes?
So you do not get lost with all the layers that you have.
what functions do keyframes have?
They go second by second with stages for scenes.

Weekly blog 10/29
I have learned just recently that games start from scratch and build up to over a year! Our game is a simple game but it has taken a while even though it's easy. I learned this from the company Steam

Internet Security
Should you respond or talk to people you do not know, on line, outside the Globaloria Community?
No, since you do not know who you are talking to or what they do. That person might be able to hack and mess up everything you did.
Can you be sure the person you are talking to has actually represented themselves accurately?
No, they can lie about anything
Why do we ask you to hide your personal information?
That way no one is able to take your information
Why must you never give your Social Security Number or bank account number to anyone online?
Anyone can use your social security number for anything if they get a hold of your Social Security Number.

WHO are you designing your game for? (Include the player's age, abilities, and prior knowledge of your topic.)
We are designing this game for kids of age 5-16, they should be able to use the arrow keys for the game's abilities, basically all about using technology.
WHAT will your game teach the player about your topic? (Be specific!)
Our game will teach the player the physics of gravity and the use of technology.
WHERE does your game happen?
An industrial park that has a lot of levers and other tech
Describe the world you will design for your game.
The game will be center around using levers like a building making machines
How will this setting add to the learning experience?
Technology is mostly used around buildings who build other machines
HOW does your game world teach the player about your topic?
This is where you find the technology mostly being used at.
What happens in the world that helps the player learn?
Noises and blocks moving around.
How does the player use what they learned to make something happen in the game?
Technology just basically easing our lives and the person will probably think of ideas to make our lives even easier to deal with.
WHY is a game a better way of understanding your topic than a quiz?
It is a hands on opportunity to use physics and levers to achieve a goal.

I play games..... A LOT!
I do love playing games a lot. My favorite games are Left 4 Dead 2 and Halo: REACH. my game perspective is mostly RPG with all kinds of explosions. This does give me a change of perspective because people who make the games can take up to a whole year just to finish one game.
